Featured Designer: Russ Roe

Veteran Dance4Liberation fashion show designer, Russ Roe, has been making his mark on Wilmington's fashion scene for some time now. I was sitting at work beginning to write his blog post then got to thinking of his designs, then Edge of Urge where his designs are sold, then Edge of Urge, then....

Now I am sitting back down to write with a kick ass new T and some sweet shades (and an empty wallet). Thanks, Russ. Russ oozes cool and this shows in his work. His designs are easily worn and make anyone wearing them instantly hipper. The new line he will be showcasing at La Vie is the Marty Bocola line named after his grandpas old T's he found in the attic to recycle for the designs. Already worn in and comfortable, awesome.

If you know Russ's work then you know he has favored screen printing in a lot of his past designs but this line steers clear of the screen printing and sticks to working with his hands. He says he finds it more fun and every shirt is absolutely original and unique. Celebrity he would like to rock his clothes? Lil Wayne. Which is great news because between you and me, I heard Lil Wayne is making an appearance at D4L's La Vie in June... maybe.
